Bar code may appear in supermarkets and other stores sales labels and scanners.But scientists in the United States department of 

agriculture using the "DNA bar code" to monitoring insect, destroying  crops, such as wheat, barley and potatoes and so on.

In DNA bar codes, scientists  specifies an organism's genome by sequence , bar code system is produced by it and other closely 

related species of DNA. DNA bar code is developing a wide range of plants and animals .

The invasive pests biological control in the institution and the behavior laboratory in Maryland, agricultural research service (ARS), 

an entomologist at Matthew turquoise, in unconventional ways, using DNA bar code to identify the best equipment, to control 

the Colorado potato beetle, this is the  the most destructive pests  natural enemy of potatoes in the eastern United States.

ARS is the main campus of the United States department and agriculture scientific research institution  to support the United States  

agriculture department and  to promote agricultural sustainable development goals.

Many study the  intestinal contents of predatory insects , in the evaluation of them in one area, to control the ability of pests.But 

the predators digesting prey at different rates, such a simple intestinal analysis is not accurate enough to compare the effectiveness

digest their prey quickly  .

He and his colleagues collected four potato beetle predators, how long they proposed a potato beetle and laboratory determination 

of insect pest  , the bar code DNA testing can be in "predators" guts.
